Katherine Whitmore Chuapoco received her Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder Colorado in 2000. She is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Iowa, and is nationally board certified by the NCCAOM. Prior to acupuncture school, Katherine graduated from Methodist School of Nursing in 1996, and maintains an active license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa.

Katherine has been in private practice in Des Moines since 2000. She joined the Des Moines Veteran's Hospital in 2001 as the practitioner for the Acupuncture Clinic specializing in pain management.

Katherine is a native of Des Moines and is pleased to be apart of the community as a small business owner and health care provider.

Brendan Dooley Chuapoco received his Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine from the Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder Colorado in 2000. He is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Iowa and is nationally board certified by the NCCAOM. Brendan received his Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics from Colorado State University.

Brendan joined his wife, Katherine, in private practice in 2001, and shares the role of acupuncturist at the Des Moines Veteran's Hospital as of 2007.

Brendan has the distinction of being the only acupuncturist in Iowa to practice Jin Shin Jyutsu, a Japanese acupressure art of balancing the body. He has traveled the world learning this art with his mother, Philomena Dooley. With over 20 years of experience in alternative healing, Brendan is proud to bring his unique blend of services to Iowa.
